Captain (ret) Buck Kellogg joined the UTSA Army ROTC program as the Scholarship and Enrollment Officer in the Spring of 2016. In this role, he performs all duties associated with recruiting, retention and incentive management activities.
Experience: He comes to the ROTC program with 28+ years of Army experience as a Logistician and a prior enlisted Sergeant First Class Infantry Drill Sergeant. His most recent duty before retiring from the Army in 2015 was as an Assistant Professor of Military Science (APMS) at UTSA. Prior to coming to San Antonio, he commanded a Forward Support Company in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, KY. He is a Criminology and Criminal Justice Major and a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Interests: “This is definitely the best job I have ever had, I get to talk “Army” every day with motivated young people and hopefully coach, teach and mentor them so they can reach whatever goal they set for themselves. Aside from work, I enjoy riding my Harley and watching the Buckeyes with my family.”
