CPT Jason Browning earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2004, and his Master of Education in 2005. Immediately after graduation, he attended Basic Training.
CPT Browning attended Aviation Basic Officer Leader Course at Ft. Rucker, AL before being assigned to FLATIRON Helicopter Ambulance Company. He direct commissioned to the Medical Service Corps as a Aeromedical Evacuation Pilot and was Sent to the 61st Multifunctional Medical Battalion (MMB), 1st Medical Brigade at Fort Hood, TX. He deployed to Iraq with the 61st MMB from 2009-2010. CPT Browning was then assigned to the 2-227th General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB), 1st Air Calvary Brigade (ACB) as the Aviation Maintenance Company Executive Officer for the 1st ACB’s deployment to Afghanistan from 2011 to 2012. After deployment, he was assigned to 1-4 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) at Fort Carson, CO where he served as the HHC Commander. After completing the Logistics Captains Career Course in September 2015, he was assigned to 211th Regional Support Group, 4th Expeditionary Support Command (ESC) as the S4. CPT Browning was assigned to the 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), in August 2017 and served as the SPO Operations Officer, and afterwards as the Assistant Brigade S4. CPT Browning last served as the Forward Support Company Commander for 21st Brigade Engineer Battalion, 3 Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
CPT Browning’s military education includes Aviation Basic Officer Leader Course, Medical Service Corps Basic Officer Course and Logistics Captains Career Course. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal.
CPT Browning has a 8-year-old son Fisher, and is married to Katherina Browning of Seattle, WA.
