Major Christopher Stelle joined the UTSA Army ROTC program in the summer of 2016, serving as the Professor of Military Science. He is overall responsible for assuring that the program produces 2LTs of character who are ready to contribute to the U.S. Army upon commissioning and completing their branch training.
Experience: Major Stelle brings 20+ years of Active Duty Army Experience as both an enlisted Soldier and Commissioned Officer. A product of ROTC, he commissioned from Austin Peay State University in 2000, completing a Green to Gold Scholarship. He has served in every key command and staff job to this point, beginning as a Scout Platoon Leader in the Armor Corps before transitioning over to Military Intelligence. Most recently, Major Stelle served with the Joint Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, NC. He also holds a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Interests: “I take great pride in being able to help mentor, train and ultimately select future 2LTs to serve in our great Army. While this isn’t for everyone, I encourage you to look into our great program and see if it is a fit for you. We are always seeking talented, smart, and physically fit men and women to join our ranks. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and discovering new and wonderful things to do in San Antonio and the surrounding area.”
